CSNCouch-Feb1969_pressPictures are worth a thousand (rock) melodies at Lobero LIVE’s new multimedia presentation Behind the Lens, premiering March 23 at 8 p.m. Behind the Lens features Henry Diltz and Pattie Boyd, two of rock music’s finest photographers, in performances showcasing photographs and moments from their lives and careers. The presentation, comprised of both still images and video, provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the artistry of these photographic rock stars.

behindthelens_webHenry Diltz, commonly recognized as one of the greatest music photographers of the 20th century, has produced a staggering archive of more than 400,000 images and 400 album covers (including The Doors; Crosby, Stills & Nash; and James Taylor, to name a few). Set to receive the prestigious Lucie Award for a Lifetime Achievement in Photography, Diltz’s talent has garnered him three museum shows, a documentary about his life, and three books.

Pattie Boyd, the glamorous muse behind such love songs as “Something” and “Layla,” has documented her own life—and the lives of George Harrison, the Beatles, and Eric Clapton—through intimate and revealing photographs, gaining her critical acclaim. In Behind the Lens, Boyd presents some of these photographs for the first time. –Kelly Collins
