Channel your inner artist and check out the large format black and white photography of Douglas Busch at his exhibition, “Scene on the Street,” opening this Saturday, August 25, and lasting through December 2 at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Instead of taking his camera to the wilderness like his mentors Ansel Adams and Al Weber, Busch focuses his lens in the city, capturing both people and architecture. Gaze at more than 25 photographs, which, as Busch puts it, “record reality more accurately than I can actually see it.” – Samantha Hobbs

Santa Barbara Museum of Art 1130 State St., Santa Barbara, sbma.net. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm, closed Monday.
