Santa Barbara County’s most popular arts event, this vibrant summer festival lasts through the weekend. One of the fete’s highlights is the colorful Summer Solstice parade, held on Saturday, June 23 starting at noon on State Street, where 100,000 spectators from all over the world gather to watch the 1,200 parade participants dance on extravagant floats among elaborate ensembles. Bring your family to the park on Saturday and Sunday to enjoy kid-friendly activities—including free art projects, face painting, and live entertainment—while adults can delight in drinks from the wine/beer garden and tasty eats from delicious food booths.
