Kenny Osehan and Chris Sewell

A Santa Barbara Native, Kenny met Chris at a party while living in San Diego.

After dating for seven years, Chris popped the question while the two were in Bangkok at a night bazaar, eating street fair food and listening to a Thai boy band.

They wed in a ceremony at El Presidio Chapel, followed by a sparkly New Year’s Eve reception at the University Club.

Afterward, the newlyweds escaped to Big Sur to honeymoon on the beach.

ON THEIR FIRST DATE, the two bonded over a walk on the beach and a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream. He loves cherries and she loves chocolate. HE PROPOSED under a cherry blossom tree in New York’s Central Park with a pouch of cherries, a bar of chocolate, and, of course, a ring.
THE BRIDE wore sapphire earrings. Her father had originally bought a Cartier brooch in an auction and her sister made it into a pair of earrings—it was her something old, new, borrowed, and blue.
THE DAY BEFORE the wedding—held at the San Ysidro Ranch—guests were greeted with an Alice in Wonderland-theme tea party. –S.Y.
